Sex slavery and a heroic welcome in Nepal for CNN Hero

In front of 5 million viewers at the CNN Hero of the Year award Anuradha Koirala from Nepal said: “Please join hands with me to end this crime. The award is but yours and every single Nepali here in home and abroad deserves this. It is an outcome of the solidarity you have demonstrated against the worst form of trafficking in human, domestic violence and social evils,” said Koirala. “This honour, I think, has added more responsibility on my shoulders to live up to the expectations of trafficked women and girls.”
